Twelve South’s new $40 Airfly wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter already selling out, score one now while you can

The brand new Twelve South Airfly Drive wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter that just launched yesterday at $40 has easily been one of the most popular tech accessories of the last few months (or more) around here. The black model is already “temporarily out of stock” at Amazon, so you might want to go lock one in now before they are completely gone (you can still order the black with a shipping delay and the white model is still in stock).

There’s no discount on the new Twelve South Airfly Drive on Amazon right now, but it is selling out quick and you’ll need to pay shipping fees to score one on the official site.

There’s no telling how long it might take to come back in stock if you miss out on this initial run, and you can still leverage free Prime shipping right now if you’re quick.

As of the time of writing the white/silver model is still on stock and shipping right now now, but the black is now listed as “temporarily out of stock” there. Just remember, if you must have the black model, you can still lock one in at Amazon despite the out of stock warning and, therefore, leverage the free shipping action.

We have already detailed what the new Airfly Drive is all about in our launch coverage, but we will leave you with the highlights below, as well as the complete Complete vehicle compatibility list.

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the car’s built-in display
  • Plug-and-play setup with no app, account, or charging required
  • Fast automatic reconnection every time the car starts
  • One-press switching between two paired phones
  • Compact aluminum housing designed to stay plugged in
  • USB-A and USB-C support, with a USB-A to USB-C adapter included
  • Works with the car’s existing display, buttons, and steering-wheel controls
  • Ongoing compatibility updates
