Deals on Microsoft’s Xbox ROG Ally handhelds have been pretty hard to come by since the storage price hikes, especially on the higher-end ROG Xbox Ally X, which has largely stuck to its $1,000 launch price. If you don’t mind going with an open-box unit, however, Best Buy now has an “Excellent” Ally X for $849.99 shipped right now, which is $150 off and marking the lowest price we’ve tracked yet. We’ve seen open-box units land closer to $870 before, but this is the first time we’ve spotted one down around $850. You can save even more with an open-box “Fair” unit at $761.99 shipped, while the standard Xbox Ally is also available open-box in “Excellent” condition for $497.99 shipped. These are some of the best prices we’ve seen so these handhelds yet, so they’re well worth a look if you’ve been waiting for notable offers on these.
The standard Xbox ROG Ally is the more affordable model in the lineup, pairing AMD’s Ryzen Z2 chip with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. The higher-end Ally X steps things up with a Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage for running more demanding titles. Both models sport a 7-inch FHD IPS touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits of brightness, and they also offer a microSD slot, which lets you add more storage later. You also get the familiar Ally handheld design here with these models, offering a comfortable gaming experience on the go.
