Despite its previous sale from last week having officially ended, Lectric is continuing many of the bundle deals we saw during that event, like the long-range XPress2 Cruiser/Commuter e-bikes with a FREE bundle of $336 gear at $1,299 shipped. What’s even bigger, though, is the brand’s launch of the XPress Lite Lightweight City e-bike at $1,099 shipped, which comes as a slimmed down and more manageable model for urban dwellers/commuters. While this new model isn’t getting any included bundled gear during this preorder launch period (shipping expected around November 2), its counterpart is holding onto the package from last week’s event that gives you a rear cargo rack, fender set, suspension seat post, and Elite headlight. So what’s the difference, and how do you pick? Head on down below to get a rundown on their differences.
Starting with the (now standard) XPress2 e-bike, it comes with two variations – the high-step commuter option or the step-thru cruiser option – and four colorways. As you’ve likely guessed by the names, this standard model is a 60-pound e-bike with a Stealth M24 750W motor (1,310W peak) and 14Ah/672Wh battery. It tops out at 28 MPH speeds and can carry you for up to 60 miles – plus, it allows you to switch between a cadence and torque sensor as you need them while riding.
Other stock features here include a SR Suntour XCM 32 suspension fork, puncture-resistant tires with pre-installed slime, StarUnion 602 hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors, a 90-lumen headlight, a brake-activated taillight, turn signaling, a Shimano Altus 8-speed derailleur, a 3.5-inch TFT color display for settings that also has a USB-C port, and more.
On the flip side and hot out of the gate is the newest XPress Lite e-bike with its own four colorways (toasted marshmallow, pine green, glacier blue, and stratus white), which sports a much more manageable 45.6-pound weight for urban dwellers, due to the smaller 500W Stealth M24 motor (864W peak) and 7.8Ah/374Wh battery. This combination provides it with up to 45 miles of riding on each full 4-hour charge, but still maxes out at 28 MPH. What’s more, it also provides both cadence and torque sensor swapping, as well as a thumb throttle, which many lightweight models tend to toss out.
Among this newer rides features, you’ll find much of the same inclusions, like the puncture-resistant tires, hydraulic brakes, headlight, taillight (with brake activation), turn signals, 8-speed Shimano Altus derailleur, TFT color display (with USB-C port), and more.
