Popular new Airfly Drive CarPlay/Android Auto adapter back in-stock, delivery times starting to slip

Some of the hottest tech releases and pre-orders of the last couple months have sold out very quickly with delivery times get pushed well beyond release date, not unlike the new Apple HomeView and Twelve South’s new Airfly Drive wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter. The $40 Airfly Drive has been one of the most popular pickups around here and you might want to consider locking one in now before delivery times slip into December (or later).

The black model is now available at Amazon once again with delivery starting in early November across many locations in the country. The black colorway is completely sold out directly from Twelve South.

The white model, however, is available at Amazon with immediate delivery right now in most locations. This has clearly not been quite as popular, but it is one you do not have to wait for right now.

Whether you’re looking to land one for yourself or ensure you have one in time for holiday gifting later this year, there’s no telling how backordered the black model might become if you wait much longer.

You’re basically looking at one of the more affordable CarPlay and Android Auto adapters from a brand name accessory maker we have been featuring around here for years. Airfly Drive is a tiny little dongle designed to make your “car’s factory-wired CarPlay or Android Auto fully wireless” with aluminum construction and both USB-A and USB-C out of the box.

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the car’s built-in display
  • Plug-and-play setup with no app, account, or charging required
  • Fast automatic reconnection every time the car starts
  • One-press switching between two paired phones
  • Compact aluminum housing designed to stay plugged in
  • USB-A and USB-C support, with a USB-A to USB-C adapter included
  • Works with the car’s existing display, buttons, and steering-wheel controls

Plug it in and leave it connected, no app, no reconfiguring. Automatic reconnection on ignition gets you moving faster, with one-press switching between two paired phones and ongoing compatibility updates included.

The rest of the details on the new Airfly Drive await in our launch coverage and you can see the Complete vehicle compatibility list right here.
