The iPhone Duo is out there now and Apple specifically recommends you use its 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max to fast charge the new foldable. Just don’t buy one direct, you can get it for less on Amazon right now.
Amazon is offering the official Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max down at $34.99 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35.
To fast charge iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max up to 50 percent battery in around 15 minutes, or iPhone Duo up to 50 percent battery in around 20 minutes, use the USB-C cable that came in the box, and one of these adapters:
- Apple 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max
- A comparable third-party 60W-capable (or greater) adapter that uses Adjustable Voltage Supply (AVS) and supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) 3.2
That’s not a massive deal considering you can score one straight from Apple at $39 any day of the week. But with iPhone Duo out in the wild now and Apple recommending this model for fast charging, we just wanted to make sure folks knew it can be had for less on Amazon.
We did see this one selling for around $27 on Amazon a few times earlier in the year, but it has found new life for some Duo users and it’s hard to say if, or when, it will ever drop any lower in the near future because of it.
It, like the Apple Pencil (USB-C), has started to see a sudden (but not so surprsing) surge in popularity among 9to5 readers looking to optimize and elevate the iPhone Duo experience, and you might as well keep a few bucks in your pocket if you’re going to pick one up.
