Amazon’s latest Fire HD 8 tablet drops to $60 in early Prime Big Deal Days sale (Reg. $130)

As part of its early Prime Big Deal Days sale, Amazon is offering a deep discount on its latest Fire HD 8 tablet at $59.99 shipped. You’re looking at a regularly $130 tablet that its now seeing a straight 50% price drop for the best price we can find. This is matching the lowest price we have tracked all year outside of the early Prime Day sale we tracked back in July at $55. 

No one is denying this wasn’t already a budget-friendly, casual machine, that’s for sure. But even still, this is a lot of tablet for $60. In fact, it might be the only one I have ever considered grabbing just for simple video chatting, roadtrips, and couch browsing. 

Today’s deal is live on both the black and denim blue colorways, both of which include an 8-inch display with an hexa-core processor that’s “30% faster” than the previous-generation model. It is made with a “strengthened” aluminosilicate glass, comes with Alexa voice control onboard, and even provides easy access to Amazon Kids+ subscriptions, allowing for a whole-family experience if needed.
