Pebblebee isn’t an entirely new brand around here, we have featured deals on its new Android trackers and gone hands-on with its gear previously, but today it is introducing the “world’s first item trackers compatible with both Apple Find My and Google Find My Device Networks.” We have seen loads of Apple Find My trackers over the years – Nomad’s Tracking Card with wireless charging remains a favorite of mine – and even some lineups dabbling in both the Apple and Android space, but Pebblebee is looking to separate itself from the pack with its new Universal lineup that plays nice with both of tracking networks.
One tracker for all – three versatile models
As the brand puts it, previous to today “consumers had to choose between an Apple-compatible or Google compatible tracking device.” But starting now users can apparently leverage a single “Pebblebee device across either platform, offering unparalleled convenience for both Apple and Android users.”
There are three new multi-platform Pebblebee trackers debuting today, all three of which work across both Apple and Google Find My networks and feature rechargeable batteries.
First we have the Pebblebee Clip Universal with “versatile” attachment options, next the Pebblebee Card Universal, a credit card-sized tracker for wallets and the like, and lastly the Pebblebee Tag Universal – the brand’s smallest rechargeable item tracker ever.
All three models are now available for purchase at Best Buy and directly on the Pebblebee site at $34.99 each. That’s $10 more than the price of an Apple AirTag right now, but the price of a wallet-style tracking card with this sort of feature set usually sits in the $40 or less range.

The real question is, who is this for? In my experience, not very many folks outside of say hardcore tech enthusiasts and tech product reviewers have both iOS and Android devices in their setup. In fact I don’t know a single one. They are out there, that’s for sure, but it seems as though one or the other – Apple or Google Find My – would be just fine. Having said all that, there might be families and the like spread across both ecosystems, and perhaps having access to both tracking networks can help to secure lost gear with greater precision – maybe one person’s Google Find My device can’t lock down the location, but another’s iPhone can. I, for one, am still at a bit of a loss as to why this is all that much of a selling point otherwise. It’s cool, I’m just not sure I need it.
