It has a mic pre-amp (with phantom power), a 1/4 inch instrument input and ships with a download for Pro Tools Express. It records at up to 24-bit/48kHz and is designed to work with Mac/PC and iOS devices (may require a Lightning to 30-pin adapter which is sold separately). It can be a great introduction to industry standard recording software as well as a nice home recording starter kit at a fraction of the price of Pro Tools 11. Pro Tools is the top selling recording software on Amazon and just about all of Avid’s hardware receive positive reviews.
