Amazon just officially announced Prime Day 2025

Prime Day 2025/July!

Amazon has now officially announced the upcoming Prime Day 2025. We all assumed it was coming soon, but Amazon has now made its upcoming July Prime Day event official with an update on its news feed this morning. The now twice yearly event comes in the form of a summer sale followed by one in the fall and you can scope out all of the details we have thus far down below.

When is Prime Day 2025?

Amazon has now taken to its official news feed to announce that the first of the 2025 Prime Day sale events will take place in July. As per usual with these initial primer announcements, it has not given up the actual dates just yet.

Last year’s event took place on July 16 and 17 – that was the third Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. 

Our predictions covering these events every since they began places the 2025 summer Prime Day sale on either July 8 and 9, or July 15 and 16. 

“Prime members can look forward to some of Amazon’s best deals of the summer during our Prime Day 2025 event. We’re offering members discounts on some of the hottest brands, socially trending items, creator favorites, and Amazon-exclusive products to make this July’s event even more valuable for members.”

What will be on sale for Prime Day this year?

As per usual you can expect a giant collection of deals spanning just about every product category from Apple, Samsung, and Google gear through to LEGO sets, smartphone and tech accessories of all kinds, upgrades for the kitchen, apparel, and a whole lot more. 

Today’s early confirmation announcement is relatively vague on the details but Amazon has said there will be deals “across more than 35 categories including electronics, kitchen, beauty, and apparel and get their shopping done early for Back-to-School, avoiding the lines and enjoying fast, free delivery with Prime.” 

Is Prime Day only in the U.S.? 

No, Prime Day 2025 is returning in full force this July with events scheduled for “Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., and the UK.” Amazon says that, for the first time,  Prime members in Ireland can shop Prime Day deals on amazon.ie.
