As you likely know by now, Sony’s exciting and long-awaited next-gen WH-1000XM6 headphones have surfaced – they are available for purchase and here’s our hands-on review. And as you might have expected, this also means we are seeing some solid price drops on the previous-generation models some folks still swear by. This morning saw the still current-gen XM5 earbuds drop $100 and now we are seeing as much as $120 in savings on the XM4 and XM5 over-ear headphones as well. Details below. 

For some folks even considering the older XM4 and XM5 headphones is out of the question now that the new model has landed. The XM6 are an impressive set of over-ear headphones, and I have loved every second of my time with them since before they officially debuted last Thursday. They are particularly comfortable, feature a foldable design once again, the ANC is better, and they sound great…but they are also more expensive and launched at $50 over the MSRP on the previous-gen XM5 set.
