As part of its Deals of the Day, Best Buy is offering the best pricing yet on the newer Hiboy S2 SE Electric Scooter for $269.99 shipped just ahead of students going back to classes. This model hit the market back at the top of 2025 carrying a $550 price tag, with Best Buy instead regularly offering it these days at $330 without discounts. Among the previous discounts this year, the lowest we’ve seen the price go before today was $294 during Prime Day last month, with the deal here cutting $60 off the going rate ($280 off the MSRP) at the best price we have tracked. It’s even beating out Amazon’s pricing by $60 and Hiboy’s direct pricing by $27.

Hiboy’s S2 series has been one of its more popular collections of affordable e-scooters for commuters, and the newest of them is the S2 SE Electric Scooter that keeps to its budget-friendly mission while expanding upon older models’ designs. It’s been given a new Q235 steel frame for bolstered durability, with a 350W Hall brushless DC motor paired alongside a 36V 7.8Ah battery, which covers your shorter commutes around campus, for example, with up to 17 miles of travel at up to 19 MPH speeds.

The tires on this model are coming 17% larger to increase traction and the front tire comes puncture-resistant while the rear tire has been given improved shock absorption capabilities. Another point of change is the fender that has been widened by 26% to combat water toss-up, with other features that include a LED headlight/taillight combo, a dual brake system made up of a drum brake and a e-brake, the obvious folding design that comes standard with e-scooters, and an integrated HD LED screen for setting adjustments.

In terms of looking elsewhere for your next e-scooter, we spotted Segway cutting its new Ninebot F3 smart eKickScooter down to $750 in its first post-tariff hike discount, or you can also find several KQi e-scooters from NIU at up to 42% off in the brand’s latest sale. You could also consider making the jump to e-bikes, with Lectric’s Back to School Sale offering up to $654 in free accompanying gear while Rad Power has dropped its RadExpand 5 Plus Folding e-bike to the $1,699 low alongside the predecessor RadExpand 5 remaining down at a $999 low. We also have an exclusive 50% savings on ENGWE’s Engine Pro 2.0 Folding e-bike at a new $750 low.
