Apple’s latest M4 MacBook Air released earlier this year, and after the better part of a month (or more on some models) of straight $200 price drops across the lineup, prices are starting to go back up. There’s no telling how long we will have to wait for the lineup to drop back down, so you might want to get in there while you still can.

We have already detailed why we feel the $200 price drops on the M4 MacBook Air lineup are easily among the best buys in Apple gear across all of 2025. We did see the M4 MacBook Pro lineup with similar price drops for nearly as long, but they are likely to get refreshed with M5 chips this fall if rumors and industry analysis are any indication, but the M4 Airs are likely to remain through 2025 and into 2026.

Amazon is still holding out (for the most part) While the most affordable models are already starting to jump in price in select colors, there are still some $200 price drops up for grabs at Amazon. B&H has already nixed just about all of the $200 price drops it had running for quite some time, and the same goes for Best Buy – the remaining $200 price drops at Amazon are your best bet right now to land some of the best prices on Apple’s most popular and universally appealing current-generation laptop right now, and it looks a lot like it won’t be for much longer.

If you’re not ready to pull the trigger right now, worry not. Chances are we will see these price drops return for the fall Prime Day event in mid October or at the very least the following month for Black Friday, and in the lead up to the holidays. We can’t say for certain, but based on our extensive experience with the previous MacBook Air lineups and tracking prices day in and day out across 2025 for the M4 line, we feel confident these deals will, at the very least, return in some capacity before the year is out.

All of that said, if you’re looking to get in now, or soon, you will want to do just that. Most of the M4 MacBook Air configurations made it through the long weekend and into yesterday with the sale prices, but things are starting to turn for the worst at Amazon right now and it might not be long before the $200 drops are gone entirely.
