Wa-hoo! LEGO unveils its upcoming Luigi & Mach 8 set for pre-order on MAR10 Day

If you weren’t aware, today is officially MAR10 Day, and right behind the new wave of 43 LEGO sets that released at the top of the month, as well as the current 3x Insiders Points/GWP sets announced through March 16, the LEGO Group is giving fans of the jumping plumber an all-new LEGO set to get excited over from Mario Kart – and it’s available to pre-order! You won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on this new set, either, so be sure to head down below to check out the information we’ve gathered, as well as pictures. We’ve also collected a bunch of LEGO’s most popular Super Mario sets below so you can expand your collection all in one place – plus, there’s a bunch of sets seeing discounts over at Amazon right now, too.

The Mario franchise is one of the most famous in gaming history, and with it being MAR10 Day 2026, the LEGO Group is expanding its Mario Kart-themed building sets with the official reveal (and pre-order launch) of the 72050 Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8 set. Coming as a companion to the popular 72037 Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart, this set was first teased back at the end of January on Instagram, with Mario on his standard kart simply looking left in a picture to where Luigi and his Mach 8 Kart are just barely peeking into frame.

Now, fans are finally getting the full unveiling here today, and this new set is likely to be just as popular and fly out of the gates fast – so it’d be smart to secure yours with the pre-order option. Stacking up to 2,234 pieces, this set lets you build a brick-built Mach 8 kart along with a posable Luigi figure. Like the predecessor Mario & Standard Kart build, this one comes with plenty of interactive actions: functional steering, spinning flame exhaust – and a display stand so you can add it to your collection with more dynamic angles.

This new LEGO 72050 Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8 set will officially launch from the gates on April 1, 2026, but, as I’ve stated, you can pre-order it right here starting today at $179.99 shipped.

And don’t forget about these other popular LEGO Mario sets to add to your collection, too:
