Apple’s least pricey 1TB M5 MacBook Air is sitting at Amazon all-time low pricing ($150 off all colors)

While there are a series of internal upgrades on the new MacBook Air, not the least of which the M5 chip, but Apple also upped the storage tiers this time around. While this, in part, did raise the entry price to the lineup, it also means that landing a new M5 MacBook Air with 1TB of storage is actually more affordable than it was last generation. And you can now land the most affordable 1TB M5 MacBook Air Apple makes at $150 off the list price from Apple.

Amazon is currently, as you perhaps already know, offering sizable price drops across the MacBook Air lineup with deals starting from $949. But we wanted to highlighting the most affordable 1TB model you can buy while you can land the 13-inch model down at $1,149 in all colorways. That $150 off the regular $1,299 list price and the lowest price we have tracked thus far on this configuration.

Again the price of the M5 MacBook Air starts higher than the previous M4 model, but considering storage upgrades at Apple can run anywhere from $200 to $400 at this point, the 1TB model we are featuring here effectively comes in lower than the most affordable 1TB M4 model did.

While I typically tend to favor RAM over storage when it comes to MacBook upgrades, we are quickly moving towards a world where 1TB will be the new minimum. Apple has already taken this step on the MacBook Pro lineup, and already ditched the old 256GB config from the Air slate. I still prefer the RAM over the storage, but I am admittedly starting to think twice about 512GB configs at this point.

Either way, there are still deals across the entire lineup if you’re on the fence – check them out below:
