Best Buy has this Pioneer CarPlay and Android Auto touchscreen receiver at $200 off today

Just after the launch of its ‘world’s first’ Dolby Atmos spatial audio in-dash CarPlay receiver, Best Buy is serving up a cash deal on a previous-generation Pioneer CarPlay and Android Auto unit for a whole lot less – it is now $200 off the usual going rate there, but there are some other units to consider.

For today only, as part of its Deals of the Day, Best Buy is offering the Pioneer  7-inch Android Auto and Apple CarPlay Bluetooth Digital Media Receiver (DMH-1500NEX) for $279.99 shipped. Regularly listed at $480 via Best Buy, and no longer available at Crutchfield, this is $200 off the list price there.

This is, however, an older unit and while it is seeing a notable discount here today compared to the price Best Buy usually charges, there are more affordable, and newer, Pioneer units at Amazon right now. This Pioneer DMH-1800NEX Apple CarPlay and Android Auto unit is down at $250 right now. Not all of these units are made equal, but it is worth doing a bit of research and double checking the prices at Amazon on the newer Pioneer units if the 1000NEX isn’t particularly what you’re after.

And if you’re looking towards the brand’s latest and greatest, you’ll want to dive into our recent coverage of the new SPHERA model that is said to be the world’s first aftermarket spatial audio in-dash receiver by way of its Dolby Atmos via Apple CarPlay. Everything you need to know is right here
