Today, Bose is debuting its all-new Lifestyle Collection speaker lineup. The versatile collection of speakers can be used on their own or in tandem as a sort home theater meets whole home audio setup, complete with AirPlay, Google Cast, and Alexa+ built-in.
Bose debuts Lifestyle Ultra collection
Delivering what looks to be a more elegant design than its usual portable speakers, it boasts a pair of front-facing drivers alongside an up-firing horn covered by a fabric grill and topped with a series of physical touch controls. The usual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity action is at the ready here alongside a traditional 3.5mm port for wired action, but it is the versatile nature of the lineup that is perhaps most interesting.
The Lifestyle Ultra Speaker can be used on its own, in pairs as satellite speakers in a home theater-like setup in conjunction with the other models in the lineup, or just as a banger home speaker for cranking out the tunes while cleaning the house or in the background when you’re entertaining.
Use one speaker solo for a powerful, enveloping sound that defies its size. Pair two for a stereo experience so detailed, you’ll swear you’re hearing a familiar song for the first time. Use them in concert with a Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and Subwoofer for dynamic surround sound. However your needs evolve, this premium speaker is ready to adapt.
Again, you’re looking at Apple Airplay and Google Cast action here, and as Amazon just officially announced on its news feed, the “new Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker and Soundbar launched today with Alexa+ built in.” Amazon says “customers can ask their Bose devices for music from movies and television shows they like, discover new artists, or create playlists based on their mood, favorite genre, or activity.” Basically, these new Bose speakers deliver direct access to Alexa+ for Prime members and all of the features it provides on any other compatible speaker.
The look of the Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker is another particular compelling aspect for, and especially that Driftwood Sand treatment with the accent wood base.
