The Iqunix EV63 Hall effect keyboard we’re checking out today is one of those, currently sitting on my desk. Not only does it look good but it also checks a lot of the right boxes when it comes to gaming. The standout feature of the Iqunix EV63, at least for me, is easily its design. Out of the 10+ keyboards I regularly rotate between — including a few custom builds — this is currently one of the most visually striking boards in my collection. It features an aluminum unibody frame that feels incredibly rigid and well-built, giving it a premium and durable feel right out of the box. There’s also a version with a Forged Carbon front panel that looks even better, but the silver model I have here makes a strong impression, too. The CNC-milled precision cuts, aggressive angles, and industrial-inspired styling give it a lot more personality than your average keyboard.
It also has a satisfying heft to it, and the fit and finish will genuinely leave you impressed when you take it out of the box. In fact, it comes very close to matching the quality of some more expensive keyboards I’ve used. The 6-degree typing angle feels natural and comfortable, especially during longer gaming sessions. Internally, Iqunix has packed the case with multiple layers of foam and sound-dampening materials, and that really helps refine the typing experience. The overall sound profile and typing feel are excellent, making it just as enjoyable for everyday work as it is for gaming.
As mentioned earlier, the EV63 is a Hall Effect keyboard that takes advantage of magnetic switch technology, allowing it to register inputs at an incredibly low actuation point of just 0.01mm. That said, you’re not locked into those settings. The entire experience can be customized through Iqunix’s software to better match your preferences. Out of the box, the keyboard ships with a more practical 1.50mm actuation setting, and I had no trouble adjusting it to suit my own usage. The EV63 also features a hot-swappable PCB, giving you the flexibility to swap out the stock Magnetic X Ultra switches for other compatible options offered by Iqunix. To make things easier, the company even includes a switch puller in the box, so experimenting with different switches is a simple process.
When it comes to performance, the EV63, I’d say, is a pretty quick and responsive keyboard to use. Iqunix has further refined its Hall Effect implementation by expanding the usable voltage range by up to 400%, improving signal resolution and helping deliver more precise and consistent input detection. The Magnetic X Ultra switches also support Rapid Trigger, and when paired with the keyboard’s Gaming Mode profile, you get an incredibly responsive experience with near-instant actuation.
This is the kind of feature set that can genuinely benefit players who spend time in fast-paced competitive titles like CS2, Valorant, and similar esports games, especially for movement-heavy actions such as jiggle peeking and strafing. The EV63 is also a wired-only keyboard, which allows it to support an 8000Hz polling rate along with an impressively low 0.125ms latency, ensuring your inputs are registered as quickly as possible.
Software is often where many keyboard manufacturers miss the mark, but Iqunix has done a solid job here. The web-based interface here feels clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, making it simple to tweak just about every aspect of the keyboard. You can customize layers, create profiles, adjust lighting effects, and fine-tune performance settings without much of a learning curve.
The Performance tab includes preset profiles like Custom, Office, and eSports, which can save time if you want to jump straight into a preferred setup. The eSports profile itself includes additional sub-modes tailored for competitive play, though the nice part is that nearly everything remains fully customizable. One interesting addition is the Crosshairs Center, which lets you import crosshair presets from professional CS2 and Valorant players — a small but thoughtful feature for competitive players looking to experiment with different setups.
The Iqunix EV63 may not be as affordable as some of the other Hall Effect keyboards I’ve used recently, like the EPOMAKER G84 HE, but it gets a lot of the fundamentals right to deliver a polished and well-rounded gaming experience. One of its biggest strengths is the software experience, which genuinely works well and makes quick work of customizing the keyboard. That alone deserves credit, considering how many keyboards still fall short in this area.
Then there’s the design, which is easily one of the EV63’s strongest selling points. It stands out from the sea of similar-looking keyboards with a more distinctive, aggressive aesthetic that adds personality to your setup. If you like using gear that feels different and contributes to the overall look of your battlestation, this is definitely a keyboard that will grab attention on your desk. Overall, if you’re shopping for a new Hall Effect gaming keyboard and want something that goes beyond the usual mainstream options, the EV63 is a compelling choice. It pairs unique styling with a strong feature set and delivers a gaming experience that feels well-refined across the board.
