PSA: Apple’s M5 MacBook Air now a giant $350 off for Prime Day after price hike (for now)

With the (not) borderline insane price hikes Apple just unleashed across its MacBook and iPad lineup, if you’re even thinking about scoring one on the near future you might want to push your schedule ahead while the Prime Day deals are live. It is likely only a matter of time before the official new MSRPs hit Amazon, so you should probably grab that new M5 MacBook Air while it’s $350 off

Amazon is currently offering $150 off the old MSRP across the M5 MacBook Air. Combine that with the $200 price increase Apple just slapped on them, and you’re looking at a giant $350 price drop on the new list prices here:

Again these deals were $150 off not more than a few hours ago, but the Apple site has already been updated with the new prices, and Amazon likely will too. It’s hard to say if these price drops will even make it through Prime Day at this point.

Let’s say Amazon decided to take $150 off the new higher list prices, that would still leave every model at the highest price it has ever sold for.

Another way to look at it is this: The M5 MacBook Air lineup has largely never sold for better than $200 off outside of a few special bundle offers and some very short-lived offers. They have never sold for $300 off since release, nor would we ever expect them to until they hit the clearance rack in Q2 2027 or later.

The M5 MacBook Air Prime Day deals just went from a solid buy at $150 off, to an act now or forever be ready to pay the new Apple tax on a machine that was dramatically less money not more than hours, days, weeks, or months ago.

All of this applies to the MacBook Neo and M5/Pro/Max machines that are now anywhere from $100 to giant $500 more expensive – get in there while the gettins’ good:

MacBook Neo

M5 MacBook Air

M5 MacBook Pro

M5 Pro MacBook Pro

M4 iPad Air

iPad 11
