The upgraded M6 Mac mini and the new M5 Pro model are now available for pre-order. The new lineup starts at $899, but if you’re looking to flip your older M4 model to the latest M6, there are some notable trade-ins values live right now.
At the time of writing, delivery still seems to be on time just about everywhere (September 22), but if this goes anything like the MacBook Neo launch, that will soon change and shipping times will begin to slip later into the month and potentially October. Amazon now has all models in-stock at the ready with the September 22 delivery time:

- 2026 Mac mini M6 24GB/512GB $1,299

However, you can bring the cost down with a trade-in right now. As is usually the case with this sort of thing, you will want to double check the value various retailers are giving you, as well as Apple, but it does appear Best Buy’s rates are quite competitive right now and it is offer 2% back in rewards with pre-orders for members (more on this below).
As far as trade values go, you’re looking at up to an effective $500 off with an M4 model trade-in – this can net you the new M6 Mac mini for as low as $399 shipped.
