Just after pre-orders for the new PS5 PULSE Elevate Wireless Speakers went live, Sony has now unveiled all-new PlayStation Pulse and Pulse Edge Wireless Headphones.

Direct follow-ups to the original 2024 PlayStation headsets, the new refreshed models once again deliver custom studio-inspired planar magnetic drivers with “exceptional sound separation and spatial accuracy” as well as larger planar drivers for “fuller, deeper bass, while keeping the clean sounds players have enjoyed from Pulse Elite.”
This makes it easy for players to pinpoint directional cues, such as footsteps or reloads in competitive first-person shooters.
Both of the new models support PlayStation Link for “lossless, ultra-low latency audio” and to seamlessly switch between supported devices like “PS5 consoles, PlayStation Portal remote player, PC, and Mac” – PlayStation notes they can also simultaneously connect to Bluetooth devices.
Some additional features here include AI-enhanced noise rejection and rotating earcups, alongside your choice of the usual White and Midnight Black colorways.
The two models are largely the same to that point, but the premium Pulse Edge delivers higher-end planar magnetic drivers “with double the magnet volume compared to PlayStation Pulse” and active noise cancellation as well as detachable boom mic “for crystal clear voice chat – with the option to use a hidden mic when detached.”
The Edge is also made of what Sony refers to as “premium materials” and ships with a carrying case.

The new PlayStation Pulse Wireless Headset will launch in “select markets starting this holiday season,” but you’ll need to wait until “early 2027” for the premium Pulse Edge Wireless headset.
No price, launch date, or pre-order dates have been set as of yet.
