Amazon unveils all-new Fire TV Stick 4K at 50% off and next-gen $15 Fire TV Remote

Just after launching thousands of early fall Prime Day deals and delivering a sneak peek at the upcoming offers this morning, Amazon has just unveiled its all-new Fire TV Stick 4K and the new Fire TV Remote – both now available for purchase.

Amazon describes these new releases as the “latest in a new generation of Fire TV hardware that started with Fire TV Stick HD earlier this year” to deliver “faster performance, a simplified product lineup, and a new, more intuitive remote design.” 

All-new Fire TV Stick 4K

The new Fire TV Stick 4K can, apparently, get customers “content from nearly 20–40% faster than a similarly priced 4K stick from another leading brand.” Amazon says your apps launch more than 35% faster, and content will being playing nearly 20% faster. 

The all-new Fire TV Stick 4K is available for purchase today at $59.99 shipped.

This time around, Amazon is landing its latest Fire TV Stick 4K with a new slimmer form factor alongside a Direct Power feature “that lets customers power the device using a TV’s USB port with the included cable.”

New Fire TV Remote

Amazon says the new Fire TV Remote “was designed with more tactile controls so it would be easier to hold and navigate key buttons.” It is available for purchase as a standalone device starting today at just $14.99 Prime shipped. 

The home button now has its own “distinct metal surface” while a new customizable star button that can be used to get “straight to your favorite app, or to toggle settings like closed captioning or Screen Magnifier.” The usual integrated TV controls are present here to directly control whatever display you have in front if you, but there will also be a more premium model set tor release next year know as Fire TV Remote Plus:

With the redesign, Amazon will also launch the new Fire TV Remote Plus early next year. Featuring distinctive aluminum housing and backlit buttons, Fire TV Remote Plus will replace Alexa Voice Remote Pro.

Fire TV Remote Plus will also come with a built-in Find My Remote feature—just say “Alexa, find my remote” and your remote will play a sound and lead you right to it. The feature works with any compatible Alexa device, the Alexa app, or the Remote Finder button in the Fire TV mobile app.
