With the country well into storm season, as well as the colder winter months approaching, Amazon is offering the Greenworks 24V 12-inch Cordless Electric Chainsaw with a 4.0Ah battery down at $119.99 shipped. While it carries a $200 MSRP direct from Greenworks, and the price was seen climbing as high as $179 earlier in the year, it’s dropping down from $143 here. Discounts since May have lowered the cost down to $129 and this same rate, which was last seen during June’s Prime Day event. Now, it’s coming back around for $23 off the going rate ($80 off the MSRP) for the best price we have tracked in 2026. If you want an even more compact cutting solution, you can find the 24V 10-inch model with a 2.0Ah battery down at $99.99 shipped, or there are plenty more deals on various tools in the official Amazon storefront here.
With storms currently surging and winter on the horizon, this 24V Greenworks electric chainsaw (or the smaller 10-inch alternative) makes a nice companion for cleanup, firewood, and more – plus, it’s fairly compact with a 12-inch bar and chain. That chain will be kept well lubricated via the automatic oiler, while tension levels can be easily kept at optimal levels from the chainsaw itself – no tools required. There’s no annoying pull strings to wrestle with here, not to mention the lessened noise and lack of fumes from its electric system – plus, the included battery allows for up to 85+ cuts on each full charge.
