Yesterday Sony unveiled its new Glacier White PS4 Slim, and now we have some new hardware from Microsoft. Gamers are getting new colorways for the Xbox One wireless controller: two-tone red and military green/orange.
These are the latest generation wireless Xbox One controllers Microsoft released alongside Xbox Open S. They feature Bluetooth and the ability to be used wirelessly with PCs sans-dongle.
Similar to Sony’s Red Magma DualShock 4 (but makes me think Nintendo), the all red version uses a two tone aesthetic with glossy highlights on the triggers, D-Pad and at the base of the sticks. The green/orange model is the same with orange accents beneath the sticks and a glossy finish on the face buttons, triggers, D-Pad and more.
While they may not be as flashy as the Shadow series of controllers, the solid colors and military vibe will certainly appeal to some. Speaking of which, we have the Dawn Shadow Special Edition Xbox One wireless Controller on sale for $69 shipped with a free $15 Amazon gift card attached right now. That’s the best offer we have seen on this particular model on Amazon.
Both of the new gamepads will run you $64.99 shipped. The red model is available now at Microsoft and GameStop, and the green/orange model will come available later this month on the 24th.
