Just a couple of years ago, truly wireless headphones seemed futuristic and many years away from being a reality. Once Apple released its AirPods, that changed everything. Many criticized the design, saying that AirPods looked a lot like earrings. Over time, the market started filling with alternate options from Samsung, Anker, Bragi, and more, that didn’t mimic Apple’s design. Adding to that list of options are Crazybaby’s latest earbuds dubbed, “Air 1S”. The Crazybaby Air 1S are the company’s follow-up to its Air truly wireless earbuds that reached 5514% funding on Indiegogo back in December 2016.
Crazybaby has produced some other interesting audio gear, like the levitating Mars speaker with subwoofer. Like all of the company’s products, the new Air 1S earbuds also offer a great design that resemble its predecessors, the Air and Air Nano.
While the Crazybaby Air earbuds were extremely successful on Indiegogo, they were plagued with connection issues. Since reviews of the earbuds always tended to call this issue out, we can only hope that the company has truly addressed those concerns in its latest release.
As you can see in the marketing photo of the new headset, the Air 1S wedge inside your ear for a snug fit, a style that I personally don’t prefer. This is mainly due to the fact that I have never worn a pair that did not cause discomfort within a short period of time.
Similar to its competition, the Air 1S come with a case that tops off the battery while also keeping your earbuds easy to find. Customers can expect somewhere around 12-hour battery life, which is comparable to the company’s other earbuds.
If you have tried Apple’s AirPods and found that they don’t fit properly in your ear, you will be happy to hear that the Air 1S come with multiple tips in different sizes, allowing you to test and find out which is the right fit for your ears.
Considering the Bluetooth connection woes that plagued the Air earbuds, it would seem that the company would opt to make its new Air 1S more affordable so customers would be eager to give the company another shot, but this is not the case.
Crazybaby has chosen to price the Air 1S earbuds at a price similar to its competitors. Priced at $160, these earbuds are a tough sell if you find yourself in the Apple ecosystem when considering that AirPods are already supported by great reviews and have been seeing discounts of 10-15% on a semi-frequent basis.
However, if you want to give the Crazybaby Air 1S earbuds a shot, you have a chance to get them at a discount. The company is offering the first 800 customers to purchase the earbuds a $60 discount, bringing them down to just $100.
