No Kid Hungry is a large organization that helps to fight childhood hunger in America. As part of its annual collaboration, Williams-Sonoma had 15 celebrities design a spatulas that you can purchase to use in your own kitchen. This is the 7th time William Sonoma has invited celebrities to help the cause with this year’s names including Kevin Bacon, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani, Olivia Munn, Questlove, Zac Posen and more. These spatulas are currently available both online and in stores, with 30 percent of proceeds going to the No Kid Hungry foundation. Head below to find out more about these unique spatulas.
Janet Hayes, Williams Sonoma’s Vice President quoted that, “Williams Sonoma has helped raise over $5.5 million to support No Kid Hungry over the past six years. That translates to 55 million meals where kids live learn, and play, and includes healthy breakfast served to children in schools all across America. This is critical because statistics have shown that children who start the day off with a healthy meal can improve their test scores by up to 20%.”
Each of the spatulas are priced at just $13.95 and they are heat-resistant up to 600-degrees. These spatulas are great for baking and cooking with an oversized main space that helps to easily scoop and mix large dishes. Also, its BPA-free silicone face won’t absorb any of the food you are making or crack. These spatulas are not only great for the kitchen but it also lets you bring a piece of celebrity art into your home for a great price.
One of our favorite spatula designs is from actress Olivia Munn. It may be because I am a fan of dogs, but I think it’s just adorable and I love the “Lady and The Tramp” eating the spaghetti theme. It would also make for a great gift and every time they cook they will think of you.
Another favorite is Scarlett Johansson’s design and I love that she shared why she is passionate about this cause. “There is absolutely no reason any child living in America should go hungry. But they do. That is why I am proud to be able to partner with Williams Sonoma to support No Kid Hungry, an organization that helps bring food to children in the U.S. that are in need, so they have the nourishment they need to grow into the generation that will continue to effect positive change.” Her design features kisses all over the spatula and she wrote Made with Love on the face.
Finally, you can also purchase a No Kids Hungry Mug that features a copper heart in the center. The mugs are $12.95 each and also make for a great heartwarming gift. Which design is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.
