Seiki Digital 50″ 4K Ultra HDTV, 120Hz, LED $900 (Reg. $1,500)

Ebay via Tiger Direct is offering a new Seiki 50-Inch 4K Ultra Definition HDTV for $899 shipped (SE50UY04). This is up to $600 off the regular listing, $190 cheaper than Amazon, and $67 off our previous mention. This LED HDTV features 5000:1 contrast ratio, 3840 x 2160 resolution and 3 HDMI inputs. Although 4K content might be a little scarce at the moment, Apple has included 4K support in the new Mac Pro and Sony has released a new 4K media player filled with ultra hi res movies.

Amazon reviewers give this 4K TV 4 stars and Gizmodo’s hands on impressions were quite positive:

We got a chance to watch 4K content on Seiki’s 3840 x 2160, 120Hz LED beast for about 30 minutes today, and it was totally breathtaking. Much of the footage was stock 4K so, you know, it was amazing and perfectly shot and calibrated. But even with that knowledge in mind my brain was bombed by the clarity and detail of the picture. It’s hard to get over the thrill of squinting at a TV up close and not seeing a pixel or a blur.
