The Klipsch SB-3 utilizes lightweight aluminum tweeter diaphragms for distinctive high-frequency detail coupled with new long-throw woofers for extended mid-bass response. The tweeters are coupled to Klipsch-exclusive Tractrix® Horns to both reduce distortion and to increase dispersion more directly to the main listening area. Reduced distortion increases sonic detail while controlled dispersion sends more sound to the listening area for greater accuracy and openness.A Wireless Real Subwoofer
Subwoofer cabinet construction is critical for proper bass reproduction. Particle board or, even worse, plastic subwoofer cabinets resonate in a manner that severely distorts bass, causing it to sound “boomy”. The Klipsch HD Theater SB-3 subwoofer uses a very solid MDF cabinet similar to ones built for most Home Theater applications. The Klipsch HD Theater SB-3 is designed to quickly connect to most TV’s using either a digital optical connection (preferred) or an analog hookup.
