Since we last visited with TM1985, the New York-based bag and accessory maker has continued to expand its line of products. This week, we’ll be taking a look at the Weekend Duffel, a new travel solution from TM1985 that aims to put a little more style in your luggage game.
Believe it or not, finding a quality duffel bag that is made in America is not an easy feat. So many of the options out there are either made of low quality materials or don’t have much in the way of design. The first thing you notice when checking out TM1985’s Weekend Duffel is the top-notch craftsmanship. Stitching, materials and visual design come together to feel like something you’d have for years to come. On the outside you’ll find a canvas and nylon mix, a leather shoulder strap with brass adjustable buckles, two leather handles and pockets for storing quick access goods, such as sun glasses or magazines.
Inside, there is a large storage compartment as you’d expect, with a bold accent color that pops out at you when the bag is opened. Leather accents can be found throughout, from the snap over the inside storage sleeve to the TM1985 logo. The bag as a whole is a unique mix of materials that has a very impressive way of flowing together.
Nothing feels out of place here. I found there to be plenty of room for carrying multiple days worth of clothes and gear. With extra storage pockets on the inside and outside, there was enough room to keep things separated if need be.
