Just like it did last year, American Express is offering a $5 statement credit its cardholders who make an eligible purchase of $5 or more on iTunes:
To see if you qualify for this promotion you’ll need to log on to your American Express account, click on ‘Amex Offers for you’, and look for a promo entitled ‘ITUNES’. Just click ‘Save Offer’ to activate the special promotion. Now all you need to do is spend $5 or more on iTunes with your enrolled credit card and you’ll receive a statement credit of $5 ‘within 90 days of 8/31/15’.
It appears as though not every Amex cardholder is eligible for this deal. The only way to know for sure is to check your American Express account. If you currently have another credit card on file with iTunes you’ll need to switch that over to your Amex. After you redeem the offer you can switch it back if you’d like. To clarify, only iTunes music, app or book purchases qualify, Apple Store and Apple Pay purchases do not. Promo expires on 8/31/15.
