With Apple Watch 2 potentially just a few days away, other manufacturers are working quickly to get new products out on the market this week. We have already seen fresh releases from Fitbit and Samsung, now Fossil is introducing four new wearables. The Fossil-Q series is making its way to the United States after initially launching overseas. Leather styling and six-month battery life highlight these watches. More below.
There are four new models here: the Nate, Crewmaster, Gazer and Tailor. Each use a mix of technology and leather materials to make the kind of smartwatch you’d expect from Fossil. The brand is also integrating with a few other key players in the fitness space transferring data between apps and devices. This includes Google Fit, Under Armour and Up by Jawbone. All of these data points will transfer into Apple’s Health app, too.
Fossil skipped the heart rate monitor on its latest release, instead choosing to focus on smartphone-esque features. The watches will track your steps but also relay information and notifications from an Android device or iPhone.

The smartwatches are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 processor with 4GB of internal storage. Fossil opted for a classic round display on its new Q watches, reminiscent of other Android Wear devices that we’ve seen. A built-in 360mAh battery will provide up to six-months of usage, according to the specs provided.
Prices start at $175 for the new watches, although that number varies quite a bit depending on which band and style you choose. Today’s new releases will be available for pre-order on September 14th.
