iPhone 4S 16GB Prepaid Cricket Phone preorder for $500, 8GB iPhone 4 for $400

Cricket Communications announced it will begin taking preorders on June 15 for a no-contract Apple iPhone 4S 16GB Prepaid Smartphone for Cricket Communications in White or Black for $499.99. Although we’ve seen iPhones sold without contracts in the past, this is the first time any iPhone has been offered as a prepaid phone. Sales tax is added where applicable. Cricket’s prepaid plan will cost $55 a month and include unlimited talk and text. It also includes “unlimited data,” but Cricket will start slowing speeds down after a user reaches 2.3GB in any given billing cycle. For more information, click here.
