Get a 13-inch 256GB Retina MacBook Pro for $69 less than Apple charges for a refurb: $1,200 (Reg. $1,499)

ElectronicsValley (Top-Rated Plus Seller, 99.6% positive feedback) via eBay Daily Deals offers Apple’s latest 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro 2.7GHz/8GB/256GB (model MF840LL/A) for $1,199.99 shipped. It regularly sells for $1,499 and $1,269 in refurbished condition at Apple. Today’s deal is a match of our previous low mention.

Apple’s Retina MacBook Pro has a 13-inch 2560 x 1600 Retina display, two Thunderbolt 2 and two USB 3.0 ports plus HDMI out and a SDXC card slot. It also has 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

As we’ve noted, Apple is expected to release new MacBook Pros before the end of the year. However, it’s unlikely those models will see this type of discount any time soon.

We still have the 128GB 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro on sale for $1,030 (Reg. $1,299).

It may be incredibly thin and light, but MacBook Pro with Retina display is also incredibly powerful. To achieve all that in a single design required relentless focus and a willingness to make bold decisions. Every millimeter was designed, engineered, built, and assembled to the most exacting performance standards. Bulky legacy technologies like the spinning hard drive and optical disc drive were left behind in favor of newer, higher-performance technologies — PCIe-based flash storage, for example. Flash is not only much faster and more reliable than a traditional hard drive, it takes up 90 percent less space. Which is one of many reasons MacBook Pro isn’t just extremely capable, it’s extremely portable, too.
