This cool GoPro accessory takes your camera to the sky NERF-style

There’s no shortage of GoPro accessories on the market today that take your camera to new heights (or depths). This new Kickstarter campaign may be one of the more original ideas that we’ve seen. AER takes your GoPro and wraps it in a NERF-like package, protecting it while also turning it into an aerial content creation machine.

Simply put, AER looks like one of those NERF footballs that whistles when you throw it. The floatable has a simple design that makes you wonder why someone else thought of it first. Two rear fins are pushed together and the top screws off to hold your GoPro. From there, the floatable can be thrown into the air to capture unique photos and videos. It’s compatible with HERO 3/4/5 and it’s waterproof. If all goes to plan, the $55 accessory will ship in February. In the meantime, be sure to check out our coverage on the latest GoPro.

Because AER has a very minimal amount of parts that are all produced and assembled in the Netherlands, we have a clear overview of the whole process. If some issue with one of our manufacturing partners would occur, we can quickly respond to minimize delay. Significant delays are very unlikely, but if anything unforeseen happens, it will be communicated to our backers immediately.
