In just a few weeks time, Oculus will be celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the Rift bundles shipping to customers worldwide. With this news, they’ve decided to drop prices on the Rift and Touch to $598 at Amazon to give customers an extra incentive to buy. That’s about $200 off yesterday’s prices and the first significant drop we’ve seen.

You can even get the Rift headset by itself from Amazon now for $499, and the Touch controllers are $99. That’s $100 off a piece.

So, what if you bought one within the last 30 days? Don’t worry, you can apply for a store credit to cover the difference.

Rift is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Whether you’re stepping into your favorite game, watching an immersive VR movie, jumping to a destination on the other side of the world, or just spending time with friends in VR, you’ll feel like you’re really there.

Rift uses state of the art displays and optics designed specifically for VR. Its high refresh rate and low-persistence display work together with its custom optics system to provide incredible visual fidelity and an immersive, wide field of view.
