It’s no secret that we’re big fans of personal electric vehicles here at Toys. From crazy three-wheeled scooters, smart bicycle wheels and stylishly designed eBikes, we’ve pretty much covered them all. So when we came across the German-made Scrooser, we couldn’t help marvel at its stylish design.
Scrooser is different from your typical electric vehicle. While it does sport a more elegant and high-end design, that’s not what allows it to really stand out from the competition. The vehicle’s main means of propulsion differ drastically from other electric scooters on the market. Rather than being solely reliant on a throttle controlled electric motor, Scrooser utilizes its own driving method which it calls the impulse drive system.
Essentially, you ride Scrooser like you would a normal scooter. But rather than you having to do all the work, the vehicle matches whatever force you pedal with. This feature is normally found in eBikes, but is something that is new in the world of electric scooters. However, for those times where you simply need to enjoy a relaxing ride, Scrooser also offers the ability to drive with a traditional small throttle control on the handlebars
Taking a closer look at the design, Scrooser is available in two distinct models, Pure and Prime. The former focusing on a minimal and streamlined design, and the latter which adds individualized detail and stylized accents. Pure sports a comfortable synthetic seat cover, while the Prime version uses a premium leather with color-coordinated stitching to match the scooters style. Each model also allows for a little customization in that a variety of color options can be choosen from. The Pure lineup features four variants: Black, Quick Silver, Juice Red, Foam White. Prime on the other hand has five more intricate designs: Brand Blue, Acid Green, Cosmic Orange, Copper Brown, Pearl Black.
Scrooser also comes in a several motor models as well, which offer various speed options and usage on different terrain. A non-road legal version offers unassisted speeds of up to 15.5 miles per hour, while two road legal variants provides speeds of either 12.4 or 15.5 miles per hour. Regardless of which version, style or motor type suits you, Scrooser offers a 34 mile range on a single charge. Battery recharge time is estimated around two and half hours.
Price wise, Scrooser is a fairly expensive when compared to other vehicles on the market. The Pure model is available for 4,528 Euros, or $5,116, while Prime costs 4,790 Euros or $5,413.
The SCROOSER is unique. But don’t get us wrong here: we don’t want to flatter ourselves. It’s a fact. There really is nothing else like the SCROOSER. It is the first and only one of its kind.
