There are many different ways to embrace the coming of summer. Target has decided to do this by launching its World of Inspiration Collection. For a limited-time they will feature a collection of artisan-inspired colors, patterns, and textures hoping to bring flairs to your home and wardrobe!
Target broke down the collection into three sections, Island Life, Ocean Hues, and Sand & Sable. Just like we’ve seen in Zara Home’s new collections, Target’s focuses on the popular vibrant summer colors of blue, green, orange, yellow, and pink colors. It uses travel inspirations to help shape this fun creative collection. For instance, the Island Life section has more of a tropical Caribbean feel with bright “sun-drenched hues, bursts of neon, prints and patterns galore”. While the Sand & Sable section has more of a safari theme by mixing textures and statement patterns. It uses darker colors such as grey and deep orange for a calm and relaxing feel.
When it comes to Home and Decor, this collection has some very interesting pieces. One of my favorite themes is the Tropical Midcentury Modern Décor. It emphasizes the use of blue and green hues while using wood finish and gold as accents. Some great pieces from this theme are the Oversized Banana Leaf Throw Pillow for $28.50, Hudson Industrial Uplight – Brass for $45, and the Cast Metal Palm Leaf for $20.
Another top theme is the Global Chair & Décor Living Room Nook. It does a great job of incorporating wicker, with mild grey and blues. What’s nice about this inspiration is that you can still use the pieces with other bold colors, should you choose to. Some key pieces from this theme are the Addison Arm Chair Mumbai Blue for $180, Wool Flatweave Arrow Rug from $126, and the Round Seagrass Wicker Storage Basket with Gray for $19.
Now when it comes to the fashion side of the collection, Target did a great job of making some eye-catching items that can last multiple wears and seasons for women. There are honestly a plethora of pieces that have made my favorites list. But the must-haves are the Kayla Gladiator Sandals for $30, Black/Natural Hobo Handbag for $25, and the Off The Shoulder Dress for $25.
One thing everyone woman knows, is that Target has an awesome selection of affordable good quality swimwear. The choices in this collection are trendy and bold – in a good way! The use of tribal prints and bold colors are seen on almost every piece. This Medallion Print Cut Out Criss Cross One Piece for $50 is one to grab before it sells out! The fact this is a high waist cheeky fit one piece makes this a needed swimsuit. It’s everything from modest to sexy all in one.
