The Super 73 Scout & Rose. Ave eBikes pair rugged style with affordability

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign last year, the folks at Lithium Cycles are now introducing two new electric motorbikes to the company’s lineup. This time around, the Super 73 Scout and Rose Ave. sport the same rugged style and form-factor as their predecessor, but in a more affordable package.

Lithium Cycles adopts a different design paradigm from other electric bikes we’ve seen, one less focused on achieving a picture-perfect finish. Said to be “the perfect entry-level electric motorbike for anyone looking for fun ready-for-adventure,” the Super 73 Scout is more aligned with enabling an enjoyable riding experience.

But that isn’t to say that the Super 73 Scout and Rose Ave. aren’t great looking bikes. The adventurous design leads to a motorbike which is both reminiscent of old-school 80’s style and is well-suited for tackling whichever path a rider takes.

Both models are equipped with handlebar-mounted LED display and throttle controls as well as support for pedal assist options to help stretch battery life with some manual riding. Sporting off-road fat Knobby tires, both the standard Scout and Rose Ave. are well equipped to handle all kinds of terrain.

With the standard Super 73 Scout, you’ll find a 36V motor and a 8.8Ah battery combination which achieve a 18 mph top speed along with a 20 mile range. Touted as being Super 73’s most affordable solution yet, the bike retails with a $1,299 price tag.

On the high-end, the Super 73 Scout Rose Ave. adopts the same general frame of the standard model, but incorporates some additional upgrades to justify its higher price point. Mounted between the handlebars you’ll find a LED headlight which is accompanied by a rear ‘motorcycle-style’ taillight. It also comes in a Black Matte Powder Coated Finish which is exclusive to this version.

Powered by a 500W motor and 14.5 Ah battery, the Scout Rose Ave. can push top speeds of 20 miles per hour while achieving twice the range of the standard edition, coming in at 40 miles on a single charge. All these extra features raise the Rose Ave.’s retail price tag to $1,699, making it $400 more than the standard Super 73 Scout.

Having just launched today, both the Super 73 Scout and Rose Ave. are now available for preorder. Thanks to an introductory 30-day sale, you’ll be able to pick up the Scout for just $995, and the Rose Ave. for $1,395. Both bikes are expected to ship later this year in December.
