AZIO has followed up on its Retro keyboard lineup with “one of the most luxurious mechanical keyboards” around. The AZIO Retro Classic is a backlit mechanical keyboard stylized after classic typewriters and intertwined with natural materials.
The crowdfunding campaign’s promo video drives home the idea that this new keyboard lineup is “opulent”. By explaining in great detail how special each color option is, AZIO hopes you’ll add one to your desk. The keyboard comes in an elegantly fierce Classic Onyx color, affluent Classic Posh, and steampunk Classic Artisan.
While the keyboard has a twinge of typewriter design built-in, I can’t help but think of antique cash registers when looking at the Classic Posh color. It’d be a great addition for a home office following a white and copper or rose gold theme.
The AZIO Retro Classic keyboard isn’t the first mechanical keyboard to hit Indiegogo. We took a look at Lofree’s wireless keyboard a few months back. However, the Retro Classic sports backlit keys, and the ability to swap keycaps between Windows and Mac modes.
AZIO’s Retro Classic keyboard is available for pre-order on Indiegogo starting at $95 for the USB option, or $110 for Bluetooth.
