To celebrate Superman’s 80th birthday, today LEGO has announced the two newest figures to join the BrickHeadz lineup: the brand new Tactical Batman and Superman. Joining a wide cast of other DC superheroes, the two new figures sport their iconic looks in LEGO’s blocky aesthetic. Stacking up to 209 pieces, the new combo pack is sure to be a hit with LEGO and DC fans alike.
Not even a week after last week’s release of all new Back to the Future BrickHeadz, LEGO is back at it again, this time showing some love to DC superheroes. Back in early 2017 when the company launched the collectible brick-built figures, characters from Justice League were some of the first to find themselves recreated in LEGO’s blocky style. Now, the new Tactical Batman and Superman join the ranks of the rest of this year’s new figures.
With LEGO focusing the launch on Superman, the new rendition of the iconic DC hero pack everything from his signature stylish hair-do to crimson red cape. The BrickHeadz figure also includes two newly introduced printed pieces, a torso piece and Superman logo, both of which are exclusive to the set.
Tactical Batman, on the other hand, also sports a redesigned look from his incarnation back in 2017. The Caped Crusader packs details like his slick armor alongside three new printed elements, a utility belt, ab detailing and Batman’s signature logo.
Stacking up to 209 pieces, the new set intros both the 41st and 42nd BrickHeadz in the lineup. Despite being comprised of around 100 elements, each of the figures pack a surprising amount of detail and as always with BrickHeadz, utilize some pretty intricate parts-usage to nail the character’s iconic looks.
The newest DC-themed BrickHeadz will be available in a combo pack for $20, matching the prices of just about every other figures released previously. LEGO’s latest addition to its BrickHeadz lineup will be available for fans come May 1st, meaning you won’t to wait too long to add the newest brick-built renditions of your favorite DC superheroes to your collection.
