Incase’s ProConnected carry-on powers your MacBook w/ integrated USB-C power delivery

As of today you can order Incase’s new ProConnected 4-Wheel Hubless Roller, a smart carry-on for when you travel. Its stand-out feature is a battery that is powerful enough to charge the latest USB-C-equipped MacBook Pro and two other devices. Users can also track their bags location via Bluetooth using the Incase Smart app for iOS and Android.

Incase is a go-to brand when it comes to cases and bags for cameras, drones, and Apple products. Its product designs appear minimalistic, but typically pack quite a bit of functionality. Today’s release is no exception.

The ProConnected 4-Wheel Hubless Roller has a 20,100 mAh battery that Incase states is compatible with Apple’s latest iPads, iPhones and MacBooks. On top of that, the battery is removable, meaning you can take it and top off your devices without keeping your luggage right next to you.

The removable battery features one USB-C and two USB-A ports. Perfect for your charging needs and generous enough to share with others while you are waiting to board your flight. Something that Incase highlights in its ad that you can see below.

Incase used a material that it calls Woolenex to make the carry-on. It is woven from two layers of polyester fiber that vary in thickness. By using multiple layers, the luggage is provided with additional durability from the elements.

“The result [of Woolenex] is an unrivaled balance of lightweight, durable textile with beautiful color depth. This unique blend also repels the elements and resists wear, tear and fade over extended periods of use.”

The bag moves effortlessly on what Incase calls “smooth-glide” wheels that can rotate a full 360-degrees, making it simple to navigate while looking for your gate at the airport. The wheels are removable, making for easy repairs if they wear over time.

The battery contains a Bluetooth module that you can pair with your smartphone via the Incase Smart app. This allows users to check battery life, show their bag’s location on a map, or make the battery beep so you can locate it even faster.

The Roller’s main compartment is what you would typically expect from a carry-on. It is spacious enough to carry a few days worth of clothing and tech gear, but personally I would not expect this to be your main bag when traveling for more than that.

The ProConnected 4-Wheel Hubless Roller is priced at $399.99 and available today from Incase.
