Lululemon has recently teamed up with the brand 7mesh, a high performance cycling apparel company, to create a unique clothing line that “pushes the boundaries in advanced technical apparel”, says Lululemon’s CFO. The new collection features lightweight and stretch material designed specifically for cycling including jackets, tops, pants, bibs, socks and more. Plus, all of the items feature a reflective logo that helps to keep you visible in low light. Prices range from $20 to $225. Keep scrolling to find out more about each piece.
For men, the 7mesh Quantum Jersey Short-Sleeve Top is a tight-fitting full-zip riding jersey that is comfortable and features four-way stretch for mobility, designed specifically for the riding position. Perfect for all of your cycling adventures, it has five pockets to hold all of your small essentials such as money, keys and more. You can pick up this top for $140 and it’s available in three color options.
The two brands have also created a very unique piece for men and women called the MK2 Bib Shorts. These are designed to being able to secure your shorts from not sliding or falling down while you’re peddling. With sweat-wicking material, the bibs will be comfortable and breathable throughout your ride. Also, the material is made with a “clean finish construction”, which means that all of the seams and edges won’t be irritating to the skin. For women, these bibs are priced at $150 and for men they’re $200.
“A lot of the gear on the market gets wet and heavy in difficult conditions, and it doesn’t protect you,” says Jordan CEO of 7Mesh. “Our goal is to create light, functional, durable equipment with a premium on fit and moisture management. It’s an alpinist’s approach to riding.”
