Logitech has unveiled its latest high-end mouse, the MX Vertical. As the first vertical mouse in the company’s lineup, Logitech it touting less muscle strain with improved ergonomics, less hand movement with advanced optical tracking, and more.

Building on the popularity of the MX Master 2S and other devices in the series, Logitech is hoping to offer “elevated performance” and comfort with the new MX Vertical.

The mouse uses a 57-degree vertical angle for improved posture and less muscle strain and wrist pressure. Specifically, the natural handshake position that the mouse uses is proven to reduce muscular strain by 10%. Logitech notes that the mouse was both tested and designed with the help of criteria from top ergonomists.

Another way MX Vertical is designed to reduce fatigue is with advanced optical tracking that Logitech says will result in 4x less hand movement. Further, the mouse allegedly fits well in a range of hand “shapes and sizes” and features a textured rubber for a comfortable and secure grip.

While MX Vertical doesn’t offer the same level of customization that the MX Master does, some may find the trade-off for reducing pain and strain to be worth it.

Pre-orders for MX Vertical are open now with the mouse priced at $99. Deliveries are slated for next month.

If you’re curious about giving a vertical mouse a shot, but $99 feels a bit steep, Anker is Amazon’s current choice for the best vertical mouse, priced at $20.
