Straight from Berlin at IFA 2018, Sennheiser is showing off some of its latest and greatest including a closer look at the upcoming AMBEO Soundbar with a 5.1.4 home entertainment experience and the next generation entry to its MOMENTUM headphones lineup.
Founded way back in 1945, German-based Sennheiser has been producing professional quality audio gear for many years. It has become one of the premiere manufacturers in pro audio/recording and has since released loads of consumer level gear with its knack for hardcore sound engineering.
Sennheiser’s MOMENTUM lineup of headphones includes everything from in-ears built specifically for iOS to a series of over-ears with noise cancellation and a nice design to go with it. One thing the family of cans was missing, however, was a solid pair of truly wireless earbuds. Until now that is.
Right from the show floor in Germany, the company has now unveiled the new MOMENTUM True Wireless. The new in-ears feature “superior stereo sound performance” along with Sennheiser’s audiophile 7mm dynamic drivers.
You’ll find all the latest in Bluetooth advancements along with AAC codec support in combination with Qualcomm’s aptXTM and aptXTM Low Latency tech. All of your favorite virtual assistants are supported as well – Siri and Google Assistant will be right at home here with direct voice access. The standard 4 hour battery life can be extended significantly to as much as 12 hours via the included compact charging case.
MOMENTUM True Wireless offers effortless interaction with the user’s digital eco system by enabling direct voice access to smart assistants such as Apple Siri or Google Assistant. Be entertained, communicate, and stay informed – all via a simple tap of the intuitive touch interface and natural voice commands.
Sennheiser is implementing a feature known as “Transparent Hearing” that allows you to hear ambient noise without removing the headphones. In other words, you’ll be able to conduct basic conversations without taking them out of your ears, which needless to say, can be very convenient while traveling/commuting and the like.
Sennheiser’s new MOMENTUM True Wireless headphones will be available starting in mid-November for $299.95 USD.
We are also getting a closer look at the forthcoming AMBEO Soundbar. It features 5.1.4 sound, 13 total drivers and compatibility with Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H and DTS:X. it also comes with Upmix Technology which can turn your stereo and 5.1 content into a “thrillingly immersive 3D sound experience.”
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look Sennheiser is ready to drop any pricing or release details for the new AMBEO Soundbar product. However you can go check out the Apple Store exclusive 3D Lightning AMBEO Headphones.
