With Black Friday 2018 just over five weeks away, it’s no surprise that Amazon is gearing up for the busiest shopping window of the year.
The Amazon Top 100 Toys List is filled with all of the usual big names, including LEGO, Melissa & Doug, NERF and many more along with various newcomers. Head below for more and our top picks.
Amazon Top 100 Toys List Unveiled for 2018
Earlier this summer, Amazon made note of which toys had been the best sellers to date in 2018. Today’s announcement delivers a refined list of what Amazon expects to be the most popular items for kids throughout the holiday shopping season.
While this year’s Amazon Top 100 Toys List is populated with many big names, there are a slew of newcomers populating this annual who’s who chart. L.O.L. Surprise is once again looking to be a top contender for the year’s most sought-after toy while recent releases from LEGO and Kano offer Harry Potter fun. We’re also seeing an influx of STEM-focused toys as coding at early age continues to be more popular than ever before.
LEGO tops the Amazon Top 100 Toys List
To no surprise, LEGO is once again dominating the Amazon Top 100 Toys List. This year’s top picks include the aforementioned Harry Pottery Hogwarts Great Hall kit which was announced earlier in 2018 at the New York Toy Fair. At $100, the nearly 900-piece kit delivers a recreation of the iconic Great Hall with 10 minifigs, house banners, and much more.
Other notable LEGO kits include the Star Wars Kessel Run Millenium Falcon and Jurassic World Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape. Both of which were popular releases alongside new films in 2018. You can check out all of the LEGO kits that made the Amazon Top 100 Toys List right here.
STEM toys once again an Amazon favorite
As expected, STEM toys are once again sprinkled in throughout the Amazon Top 100 Toys List. This includes everything from the littleBits Avengers Hero kit that we recently reviewed to Kano’s new Harry Potter coding bundle. Anki makes a return in 2018 with its Cozmo robot while interactive Star Wars toys, Elmo and others all can be found here as well.
STEM toys have been a popular holiday item over the last three years as more schools are adopting this learning initiative. In turn, toymakers are cashing in on the trend and offering up partnerships with popular brands. Check out all of Amazon’s favorite STEM toys right here.
