If you’ve not heard of Moment, you’re missing out on a great mobile photography accessory. Despite its camera expertise, however, the company has always been lacking in one area: cases. Their lenses are fantastic and add an extra level to iPhoneography (or Pixel, Samsung, etc.), but the cases were never that great.
On the other hand, many other companies are fantastic at making cases, but no one quite matches Moment when it comes to lenses. In steps Nomad, one of our favorite companies around here. Nomad recently partnered with Moment to launch the Rugged Case for Moment, allowing you to use all of your lenses on your favorite Nomad case. Keep reading for more details.
Nomad Rugged Case for Moment
I have the Nomad Rugged Case for my iPhone XS Max and it’s a great option. I go back and forth between it and my official Apple Leather case, depending on how much bulk that I want on my phone. The Rugged Case has a fantastic look and will wear amazingly, thanks to Nomad’s use of real Horween leather.
What does this mean for Moment?
Well, a lot of people I know love Moment but are not a big fan of their cases. They’ve long wished that Moment would license (or at least share) its lens threading technology with other case manufacturers so that way they could have different options when it comes time to choose a case. Now, that’s possible thanks to the newfound relationship with Nomad.
This opens up many doors for Moment as well as case manufacturers worldwide. I can see the possibilities now. OtterBox with Moment, Speck with Moment…Apple Leather cases with Moment? Ok, that last one might be a stretch, but it’s nice to dream.
Pricing and availability
Nomad is charging $49.95 for the Rugged Case for Moment. This is just $5 over the normal price of the Rugged Case and is a great option in my opinion. If you were wanting to buy into the Moment ecosystem, but avoid buying a Moment case, now’s your chance. These cases are shipping now, so you can have a Nomad Rugged Case for Moment just in time for Christmas this year, perfect for checking off your mobile photographer’s wishlist.
