The official ANYCUBIC storefront on Amazon is now offering its Photon Ultra Resin DLP 3D Printer for $239.99 shipped after clipping the on-page coupon. After completing Kickstarter shipments, ANYCUBIC launched this printer fully last September for $500. It is now seeing its first price drop since launch with today’s deal saving you $230 with the clipped coupon only dropping the final price by $30, totaling a 52% discount. Using Texas Instruments’ DLP technology, the Photon Ultra uses a projector paired with the standard LCD screen to create a higher beam uniformity for crisp details. Yet another improvement comes with printing speeds which can be as fast as 6cm per hour which is three times faster than the original Photon. A DLP printer has an optical projector, shining concentrated beams of light only where the resin needs to cure, producing incredibly crisp results without light leaks or blurry edges. DLP Projector can project a beam of higher uniformity, and the light uniformity of the forming surface is greater than 90%. With an LCD printer, a single big UV light shines through a screen that has either open or closed pixels. However, the light source is always on, which gives light leaks, even on dark pixels.
