Anker’s latest collection of 15W Qi2 charger gear debuted at CES 2024 earlier this year, and we have just spotted a new model over on the brand’s Amazon storefront. The updated version of Anker’s MagGo 2-in-1 Charging Station has now landed on Amazon with a paired down setup by comparison to the 3-in-1 variant, but now also features the new Qi2 certified 15W wireless charging action. And now, joining the 30% price drop we are tracking on the 3-in-1 at $70, the even cleaner 2-in-1 model is up for purchase at $45.99 shipped. Head below for more details.
Anker’s new 2-in-1 MagSAfe stand with 15W of juice
One of the main features here is clearly the new, second-generation Qi charging action, Qi2. This, for those unfamiliar, delivers double the charging speed than the 7.5W found on a slew of previous-generation wireless MagSafe chargers out there, and has ushered in a number of far more affordable solutions capable of powering iPhone with 15W of juice, as exemplified in the Anker MagGo 3-in-1 and new 2-in-1.
Anker says its new MagGo stand can power an “iPhone 15 Pro to 25% in 21 minutes,” which, according to the brand, is indeed almost twice as fast as its 7.5W unit.
As the name suggests, the Anker MagGo 2-in-1 Wireless Charging stand is very much what we see on the 3-in-1 variant, just with an arguably cleaner design and without the Apple Watch charging action. It’s hard to recommend it for folks with a MagSafe iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods (or other Qi-ready earbuds cases), but if you’re already set on the Apple Watch front or just don’t wear one, the new MagGo 2-in-1 is a more affordable option.
As far as the physical design goes, on this model the sort of branching tree design is no more and has been replaced with a more streamlined and simple silver arm that extends from the charging base. Up top is where you’ll find the 15W of MagSafe-ready power for iPhone 12 through 15 (do note it works when your phone is naked without a case or specifically with MagSafe cases). This floating MagSafe charging pad supports both portrait and StandBy-ready landscape orientations and an adjustable hinge – 45-degree vertical and 360-degree horizontal rotation.
Moving down to the rounded base, which houses a small AirPods case-shaped divot for wireless charging, you’ll find a pair of charging status indicator LEDs – “lights that distinctly indicate the charging status of your phone and earbuds.”
The new Anker MagGo 2-in-1 15W Qi MagSafe charger is now available for purchase at $45.99. It ships with a 5-foot USB-C cable and a 2-year warranty. And again, if you need the Apple Watch charging setup, that model is currently sitting at the $70 all-time low.
