As part of its early Prime Day deals, “the summer’s best new speaker” has now fallen back down to its best price yet. Sony’s latest collection of portable wireless speakers and headphones landed this past spring and the best piece of kit in the lot is now on sale once again. Amazon is offering the Sony ULT Field 1 Wireless Ultra Portable Bluetooth Compact Speaker down at $98 shipped in all colorways. Regularly $129, this is only the third time we have seen the new ULT Field 1 speakers on sale – this is also matching the best price we have tracked since release. Much like last time around, Amazon is slightly undercutting the current Best Buy sale price at $100 as well.
As I have said previously, I’m a big fan of the aesthetics on these new Sony speakers, especially the orange and forest gray models – they sort of give me that rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2 band vibe for some reason.
Sony is leveraging an IP67 water-, rust-, and dust-proof design in to double down on the field style here, and to safeguard the new speaker during your summer adventures. The detachable multi-way strap also comes into play in this regard while the ULT button pumps up the bass alongside the usual wireless Bluetooth streaming and the ability to pair a couple of them together for a bigger stereo experience.
