Elevation Lab is back again today with a new AirTag accessory, and this time we are talking about the latest TagVault with a locking function. Elevation Lab, as any avid 9to5Toys reader and AirTag user will know, has long since been among our favorite Apple tracker accessory makers. As of late it has been focused more on some of the casual models, like the latest safety pin holder, but today we are featuring its latest TagVault – the “indestructible”, ultra-rugged mount lineup that just keeps getting more versatile. The new TagVault AirTag Surface Security Mount is now available for purchase starting from under $15 Prime shipped and we will dive into some details below.
Elevation Lab debuts new lockable waterproof AirTag mount
The TagVault is best known for its “indestructible” build quality and reliable adhesive capabilities. But it is also one of the better waterproof options on the market, safeguarding your AirTag from inclement weather or just overall rough conditions. There are several models in the lineup, some made to adhere to fabric, bag straps, and clothing, others with magnetic properties, but the latest from the brand is introducing an arguably even more unique feature in the product vertical, the ElevationLock security tool.
Features at a glance:
- The high-security AirTag surface mount.
- Opens & closes with included ElevationLock security tool.
- Impact-proof: Angled sides keep it from getting knocked off.
- Mounts in seconds to flat surfaces with strong 3M VHB adhesive.
- IP69 Waterproof.
- Stealth, low profile design.
- Designed for skis & snowboards. Equally great for trailers, vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, watercraft, equipment, bike racks, camping stuff, camera lenses etc…
The new TagVault AirTag Surface Security Mount lands with everything that past models do (outside of the magnetic action), including the 3M adhesive, but with a proprietary locking mechanism and angled sides that are designed to help it from getting knocked off the surface you have applied it too.
The mount comes with a sort of key that links into the small port holes you see on the top of the surface, allowing you to securely lock the AirTag in place, and unlock it again when needed. I guess someone can just rip the whole mount off the surface to take it with them, but it’s not going to be any use to them if they do and you’ll always be able to track it down if they toss it away.
The new Elevation Lab TagVault AirTag Surface Security Mount is now available for purchase with a 1-pack selling for $14.95 Prime shipped at Amazon, 2-packs at $24.95, and a 4-pack at $35 (this is $8.75 a pop and, obviously, the best overall value here).
