We are very much hoping to see Amazon put the other colors on sale for the first time starting tomorrow for fall Prime Day – finger’s crossed – but it does not offer this soft purple treatment anyway, making today’s price drop from the full $80 down to $49.99 shipped a notable Prime-adjacent deal worth consideration right now.
Alongside the ultra-compact pill-shaped charging case, one of the real highlights of the new Beats Solo Buds is the impressive battery life. In our testing they came incredibly close to hitting the 18-hour mark, and that’s 18 hours on the buds themselves not combined with the case. In fact, the case here doesn’t feature an onboard battery, Beats has instead put all the power into the buds themselves and delivers a 5-minute quick charge to net you an additional hour when plugging the case in over USB-C.
